Tony Gallagher, CEM
Tony Gallagher, CEM has been a member of CAEM since 2008 and has been volunteering since 2009. In 2016, he was asked to join the Board and says the experience has been remarkable. Tony has a love for the industry and network of people that CAEM brings together. He says the shared passion for face-to-face marketing and collaboration is without parallel. Tony has expressed that it’s an honor and privilege to continue to serve as your CAEM Board Member.
Ken Jattan, CEM
Ken Jattan is Director of Sales and New Business Development for Freedom Convention Freight Services Canada – a new member of CAEM, located in Burlington, ON. Ken has 30-years experience in the convention and trade show industry specializing in customs, logistics and venue management. He has assisted several times on the CAEM Conference Committee including co-organizing the ExpoCAN Trade Show at Blue Mountain in 2018. Ken obtained his Certified in Exposition Management designation (CEM) in 2015.
Karen Maki, CEM
Karen Maki, CEM, is an industry leader with 20+ years’ show management and supplier experience. She has successfully produced small to large-scale consumer, B2B and association events in numerous facilities across Canada. Karen previously served as CAEM Director, Committee Chair; was CAEM 2015 Member of the Year and assisted in the development of the Health and Safety Best Practices Guidelines. Strength in team building, creativity and a solutions-driven approach are paramount to Karen’s success.
Mike Russell, CEM
Mike Russell is the Event Logistics Manager at the Toronto Congress Centre. With almost 20 years under his belt in the industry – 5 on the Expo side and now almost 15 on the Venue side – he has seen many industry changes. Mike has been a proud member and volunteer of CAEM for most of those 15 years and has also served on the Board of Directors for quite some time. Mike loves learning from his peers.
Creative, passionate and results-oriented professional with 20+ years experience in the events industry. Mikey has extensive experience in event and project management at the national level and with media buying, public relations and social media promotion. He is proficient in sales/team management, strong practical problem-solving skills, works well in group settings, and a strong sense of business optimization. Mikey has contributed to numerous committees over his 9 years of CAEM membership and continues to take an active role in the Association
