President’s Message April 2018
The clocks have fallen back and we have officially launched into Spring. It has been a busy winter for CAEM. Redstone, our new association management company, has literally hit the ground running and they are doing a wonderful job learning the CAEM ropes. I’d like to thank you for your patience during our management transition. Redstone has reported to me how welcoming and supportive our members have been and honestly, I would expect nothing less. I know many of you have asked me exactly “who does what” for CAEM at Redstone so we have included an introduction to the CAEM team in this newsletter for your reference.
Our 10th Annual Awards of Excellence was a smashing success with 176 members and guests in attendance. Many thanks to Rena Menzies and her Committee for creating a wonderful night of celebration. A special note of gratitude is due to our Host Venue, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for truly pulling out all the stops to make our 10th Anniversary a night to remember.
On the education front we have just wrapped up two CEM Courses in March and our next Signature Event, the Spring Summit takes place April 22-24 in Abbotsford, BC. This Summit promises to deliver high caliber education as well as the stellar networking that our Signature Events are known for. If you have not already registered, I encourage you to do so right away.
Planning for the Annual Conference is well underway and early bird registration is now live! The education line up for this year’s conference has been expanded and is truly second to none. There is no doubt that once you see the many valuable sessions being offered that you will want to send as many of your staff as possible.
Wishing you a wonderful Spring and I look forward to seeing you soon.
