CAEM Exposition Recovery Taskforce Update – June 26

June 26, 2020

What You Need to Know This Week

Last week, The CAEM Exposition Recovery Taskforce finalized the proposed “Canadian Exhibition Industry – Safe Reopening Guidelines”. You can view the guidelines HERE, along with the follow-up letters that CAEM sent to each of the Provinces HERE.

The CAEM Exposition Recovery Taskforce is continuing to break off into provincial/regional groups to tailor the messaging and language at a provincial level and to align on advocacy strategies.

Take Action

CAEM has launched a new letter writing campaign, and WE NEED YOUR HELP reaching politicians in your Province, and explaining that the exhibition industry has a comprehensive plan and is committed to reopening safely and responsibly.

IMPORTANT: If you live or run shows in Alberta, please DO NOT participate in this letter writing campaign. We are already in communication with the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism and they have agreed to present our guidelines to Public Health and help us advocate for our industry.

Here are THREE EASY actions to take IMMEDIATELY:

  1. Advocate individually to the member of provincial Parliament in the riding where you live. SUBMIT LETTER HERE.
  2. Advocate individually to the member of provincial Parliament in the riding(s) where your show(s) are located. SUBMIT LETTER HERE.
