CAEM Holiday Lunch Recap

A new year is upon us, another holiday season gone by with family and friends, and before that the Annual CAEM Holiday Lunch was enjoyed by all who attended.

On December 5th, at the Hilton Toronto Airport and Suites, CAEM members and guests hugged their colleagues and friends, donated to charity, posed for pictures and ate a lovely lunch.

After a wonderful time mixing, mingling and making good cheer, guests were treated to a country musical number performed by Sandra Martin, Jeff Drover, Bianca Kennedy, Ron Bentley and Laurie Paetz to get everyone stoked for the 2019 Annual CAEM Conference, coming this June in Calgary, Alberta. The friendly and flawless emcee skills of Kelly Antonaros engaged the room, holding their attention throughout the afternoon.

CAEM members are a generous bunch, and this year collectively donated over 18,500 pounds of food for Daily Bread Food Bank.

The top three companies for the 2018 food drive were:

• 1st place – GES with a total weight collection of 9,465 lbs
• 2nd place – The International Centre with a total weight collection of 4,291 lbs
• 3rd place – Freeman Expo with a total weight collection of 1,616 lbs

It should be noted that since the inception of the food drive, twenty years ago, CAEM members have donated a total of 232,000 pounds of food!

Thank you to Lange Transportation & Storage for their ongoing commitment to this initiative, each year consistently taking the lead and making it happen.

Much gratitude to the many companies who donated to the raffle prizes, their varied contributions were exceptional.

And finally, thank you to the many volunteers for their time commitment and passion, ensuring the Annual Holiday Lunch was a success.
