Lifetime Achievement Award – Linda Waddell

Our final Lifetime Achievement recipient has dedicated nearly 40 years to advancing Canada’s recreational marine and exposition industries. As President of Canadian Boat Shows and Show Director of the Toronto International Boat Show, she has been instrumental in the growth and success of one of Canada’s premier consumer events and the largest indoor boat show in North America.

Throughout her career, she has successfully led major consumer and industry events, adapting them to changing market conditions while strengthening the Toronto International Boat Show’s position as a leading marketplace for the boating industry.

Beyond event management, she has worked closely with industry associations, suppliers, government partners, and stakeholders to promote recreational boating across Canada. Her professionalism, integrity, and collaborative leadership have earned her widespread respect throughout the industry.

A dedicated mentor and trusted advisor, she has generously shared her knowledge and supported the development of emerging leaders, helping strengthen both the marine and events communities.

Her lasting legacy is reflected not only in the success of the events she led, but also in the strong industry relationships and vibrant boating community she helped build.
